Before making decisions take a look at your new destination. The tour takes approximately 2 to 3 hours. Information about the town, its different districts, lake communities and tax-rates are explained. Like every country, Switzerland has its own set of customs, etiquette, rules and regulations. We make our clients familiar with everyday life in Switzerland, and give useful tips.

Househunting tour

Welcome to your new home! The search for a new home begins 6 to 8 weeks prior to the clients actual move to Switzerland. We arrange and coordinate appointments with owners and property management companies. Depending on the package, you will visit up to 10 objects on one or two days. We process the applications for the chosen rentals. Since the market for apartments and houses in and around Zurich has become very tight and apartments usually go very fast, quick decision-making is called for to enhance the chances of getting the apartment or house that suit the client best. Due to our experience we have best relationships to property management companies and owners of flats. We coordinate next steps with the property owner or the housing management company, check the rental contract and take all necessary steps to ensure a smooth transfer.

You need to find an apartment or house, but you don’t have the time to come to Switzerland to view flats? After having discussed your requirements, we can conduct the viewings on your behalf. We make a video and take pictures of the flat or house as well as of the surrounding area and point out important details. Insurance

A new country, a new social security system. In Switzerland certain forms of insurance are expected and mandatory such as health insurance. You, or specifically your income, is partially protected in case of accident or illness caused inability to work. In case of illness often only 55% of wages are covered. We would be happy to look at your personal situation with you. We also offer all necessary forms of protection such as household, building and private liability insurance. Our advice is inclusive and competent.

Painting and renovation

When handing over a flat to the property manager the flat or house must be in a good condition. Dowel holes must be closed and the color of the walls must be the same as they were when you moved in. We can recommend reliable painters.
